My wife and I sailed for the first time this past May on the QM2 in BC and for some reason did not realize that "our" table (which was for 6) was our table for breakfast and lunch as well as dinner. So every morning for breakfast we asked for and received a window table for 2. This was a nice bit of privacy as we got in gear for the upcoming day. The four wonderful people we met a our table for 6 became great new friends but if we are fortunate to sail on Cunard again in BC we would likely do the same. Lunch every day was in the Golden Lion with Fish&Chips and a pint of London Pride.

Thanks Harold we probably won't have breakfast and lunch in BC every day. We usually like to sleep late and will use the self service as well.

Bit confused how you were able to manage this ( a different table for breakfast ) in Britannia Club dining ? and then your allocated table for the evenings.

Very unusual that there were spare tables not allocated to other guests, not only that, but also in premium positions

Are you referring to breakfast/lunch in Club dining ? or in the main Britannia restaurant.

Did you have the same waiter for all meals, if not how did you juggle a gratuity;)

Ah, good questions Bell Boy. Being newbi's we didn't know any better. So the first morning for breakfast when we walked into the Britannia Restaurant and the Maitre'd approached us and asked if he could help we failed to identify ourselves as BC. Instead we asked for a table for 2 by a window and were quickly escorted to one. Since we are late sleepers and usually arrived at the Britannia restaurant between 9:20AM and 9:30AM there was never any problem finding an available table. Of course it was not in the Club seating area. We probably had a different wait staff each morning but always had great service.

Again, if we are fortunate to sail Cunard again the only thing we might change to our dining routine would be TWO pints of London Pride with the Fish&Chips at lunch rather than one.
