Off Navigator, also noticed less activities and shows

Recommended Posts

A thread from a few weeks back had me concerned about amount of activity on Navigator, and on our recent 9 night cruise found it to be true. I'll put a note here that our itinerary changed and apparently we could not switch out some of the headliner acts, but it was day 7 that we missed a port so not really an excuse for events run by cruise staff.

Ice shows held on 2 out of 9 days

Love and Marriage game show 40 minutes, 3 questions to each side and done

One dancing under stars party in 9 days

No deck BBQ parties/sailaway parties, no food served on pool decks at all

No ice carvings by pool

1 kids circus parade, precisely 10 minutes on Promenade on Day 9

1 Promenade party; held at 11PM

No Flash Mob or MJ Thriller

Lack of big screen movies; Jumanji showed as main night time pool movie at least 4 nights.

Light night comedy 2x on 9 night.

No Karaoke with backing rock band

The quality of entertainers was good, but sparse. There were a few enrichment lectures that were interesting but poorly timed (9am). Did not see a Captains Corner either but may have missed it. Just felt a little thin for choices especially once you had seen a "Broadway style" show and "Jumanji". CD would MC the evening theater shows but never saw her involved in any other daytime or secondary activities. Don't need a CD to entertain me personally, but felt they could have filled out the schedule a bit more. Some of the staples had been getting stale but why not update them instead of just cut them? One person commented to me it was like a giant holland america ship. Can't really comment on Casino, not my thing.

I've noticed that each time we cruise the activities are getting fewer and the ones they have are 'plumped out' with things such as card games or for fee activities, I did look at an old compass from 10 years ago and it was almost double the amount.

Saying that we tend to go to the same amount now that we did then.
