Looking to go to Paradise Beach but just realized that there are 8 ships in port that day!! Can you reserve a spot there in advance? Am I better off choosing somewhere else? Looked like a great place to go with the family, but beginning to question that decision with 8 ships in port. Has anyone been there under the same circumstances?

I'm guessing that with 8 ships in ports every where will be a cruise zoo. Depending on the ships, there is a potential for 25,000 cruise passengers to be in Cozumel at that time.

I have been in Cozumel with 6-7 ships several times and haven’t noticed any big issues. With the 3 piers and some tendering, Cozumel can handle large crowds better than most ports. We haven’t been to Paradise Beach, but have been to The Money Bar several times with 6-7 ships in port and had no issues.

My understanding is that Paradise Beach charges no (or a small) entrance fee unless you use the water toys. I would take a chance and head there and see how the crowds are. If it is too crowded, you can always grab a taxi back to the Money Bar and see how the crowd there is.

The other option is to book one of the beach clubs that limits the number of visitors.
