Wow .. what a great response so far. We are in a little postal area near Annapolis .. Millersville (abuts Severna Park & Glen Burnie). We are booked for our 5th RCI cruise in September, our 6th in October and our first Cunard (QM2) in January. We've also sailed aboard Carnival and Celebrity. RCI is our fav so far.

madelinerose: It sure does! But you can resign if you hate cruising (but, of course, we'll then have to have you committed to Spring Grove).

We need to come up with a catchy name for our Maryland thread and then get the moderator to change the name of THIS thread to the new name (no sense risking losing anyone who has already found this one and posted) .. and we're in business.

Just had to check in - born in Havre de Grace but moved away as a child. Still lots of family in the area though! And as the name indicates, a huge Orioles fan, as is the rest of my family!

Hello everyone! I'm in Southern Md, WHite Plains to be precise. Also lived in Laurel for many years and Odenton. I was booked on the Miracle for next month and the fear of being bumped made me cancel and book the Navigator instead! So glad I did!

Welcome to all who posted today. I count some 19 different individuals. This could be .. should be .. a lot of fun. We'll probably meet up with people we already know and friends we just haven't met yet -- a band of merry Maryland cruisers.

I am delighted that so many of you replied to this thread. I have cruised 20 times and the last 3 were on Celebrity. I am looking for a change and have been lurking here for a while.
My last cruise was out of Baltimore and it was so easy. Just get up and drive a couple of hours, park the car and get on the ship.

Cindy - We lived in Piney Point when my brother was born. My father was in the Navy and stationed at Pax River (of course...). He's lived in Texas since about 13 and would die if anyone found out he wasn't a "natural born" Texan.

Hello fellow Marylanders....

I grew up in Frederick and now live in Harford County. I've cruised 4 times on RCCL and 1 time on Celebrity. With two kids (2 yrs. and 4 months), I think the wife and I are in "drydock" for a while as far as cruising is concerned. But, we can't wait to start up again when the kids are a little older. In the meantime, we'll live vicariously through you. I posted some stuff on the other message board about 3 years ago, but it's long since go.

Although I started this cruise on the Royal Caribbean International board, it is surely open to any and all cruise lines we Marylanders (actually I'm originally from Florida but that was many moons ago) use. With cruise ships leaving now out of Baltimore and right up I-95 from Bayonne NJ, we should be able to share lots of useful information.

I'll be off for a Western Caribbean cruise on Carnival Triumph in one day. Bon Voyage to those sailing this weekend. Maybe we'll run into each other on one of the islands.

Keep this thread going while we're gone! Only 8 days until PCD.
