Hiring a car and the best route

Ok i think we'll hire a in car St. Martin ( not sure who with yet lol any help ? ) anyway what i was wanting to know what is the best route to take in all the sites - i want to try and see the planes landing at the beach.

We're arriving 22nd of Nov so say 9am till say 3pm just to be on the safe side.

Also my wife would like to try some shopping on both side - gee that figures lol

Any ideas folks?

Start at the car rental place and proceed in a clockwise direction around the island. Here are a FEW points along the way:

* Look-out over Great Bay at Ft. Amsterdam
* Look-out to view Simpson Bay and Simpson Lagoon
* Maho Beach to see the big planes land (>11:30am)
* Marigot Harbor incl Ft. de Marigot & Port La Royale
* Pic Paradise
* Friars Bay & hike to Happy Bay
* Grand Case
* French Cul de Sac & Anse Marcel
* Ilet Pinel
* Orient Beach
* Butterfly Farm
* Oyster Bay
* Naked Boy Hill
* Phillipsburg for shopping.

It's easy to find your way around St. Martin. I don't think you can get lost. Just stay on the main roads and follow the coast. There are only a few places where you can't see the coast and that is where you make sure to follow the main roads. You can't miss.

Depending on traffic and how many ships are in port, that trip should take about 3 hours with a few stops.
