Hotel near Maryland cruise terminal

This one isn't necessarily near the port...it is closer to the airport. The Extended Stay America at

1500 Aero Dr, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090. It is a cheap, decent hotel, but they have a free shuttle from the airport, as well as a free shuttle to the cruise port. We told them the time we needed to go, and the shuttle was there, ready to drop us off. We had a great experience there.

Are you driving, flying, or taking the train? Are you looking for a hotel with cruise parking? Are you looking to do anything in Baltimore before the cruise, or just a place to spend the night. You have a number of options, but the answers to those questions will help a lot in answering your question.

If you're driving and looking for just a place to stay, with or without parking for the cruise, I'd look at the White Marsh area. This is a 20-30 minute drive to the port, and is on the north side of Baltimore (i.e., closer to Jersey). There are a number of chain hotels (think Hampton Inn, Courtyard/Fairfield Inn), places to eat, and a shopping area in case you discover you've forgotten something.

I second Markeb's suggestion of the White Marsh area. We've cruised the Pride several times, driving down from NYC, and we stay at the Hampton Inn White Marsh. They have a stay/park/cruise package - for not much more than the cost of the room, they keep your car for the week and give you free shuttle to/from the port (about 20 minutes away). Free breakfast, a nice pool, and about five minutes from a mall and two big shopping centers (including a Target for those last-minute needs). We drive down Friday night, relax there on Saturday, and hit the pier on Sunday AM.

We are from upstate NY and have cruised out of Baltimore many times. We do drive and park at the port, and do not have to rely on shuttles or schedules either to or from. Just our personal preference.

We have always stayed in the Arundel Mills area. A short 15 minute or so drive to the port. A huge mall with dozens of restaurants and shops. Several nice hotels and other places to enjoy and entertain you before your cruise.
