Carnival reduces passenger capacity on 7 days due to Norwegian and Royal Caribbean

Since Royal Caribbean is offering 7 day cruises from New Orleans in 2019 and Norwegian is bringing in a larger newer ship, the Breakaway, for 7 day cruises, Carnival is going to move a smaller ship in, the Glory, to replace the Dream on 7 day cruises. I guess they realize that the competition is going to make it harder for them to fill a large ship with 7 day cruisers.

To help offset their loss of revenue from fewer 7 day cruises they are bringing in a slightly larger ship, the Valor, to replace the Triumph on 4 and 5 day cruises.

This is an effort to keep the prices up on 7 day cruises with all the new competition in town. I was hoping that all this competition would help lower prices and give me some good deals.:)
