Day Pass in Nassau

There are 6 of us traveling plus a toddler. We were thinking about Melia for the day. There are 6-7 cruises in port that day also. Thoughts? Is the beach very private? Do people go up trying to sell things constantly?

I was thinking about the local bus but how long is the walk from dock? My parents can't walk very far. Do any cabs have car seats though? Do they fit 7 people?

TIA!

What time of year? It’s about a 10 minute walk to the bus, maybe 15 with your group. Yes, you can get a van for 7, no car seats. The beach is very large, not many vendors there.

Thanks! It will be November. Sorry for all the crazy questions but is the walk mostly flat? I thought I read somewhere there was a hill or something getting to hotel?

Melia is 5 miles from port. I don't think you want to walk there. :) If you're asking about the walk to the bus stop, it's a 5 to10-minute walk. The longest part of the walk is getting through the cruise port. The hill is past the bus stop.

You should be able to get a taxi van that will hold your group.
