Sandals Antigua Day Pass?

How was the resort? We are looking at booking a day pass for Nov. 2018

Is this resort on Dickerson Bay?

I was there for a day pass a couple years ago. Staff was a bit aloof, but the property was beautiful, the beach and water calm and gorgeous, the pool very nice, drinks great at the swim-up bar, and buffet very good. Going to try again in November as well.

Thought I'd share - As mentioned above, I emailed Jeune Carryl (jcarryl@grp.sandals.com), Admin Assist at Sandals Grande Antigua. Her response back to me was they are no longer doing day passes. Huge bummer.

Many different pools- some with swim up bars, mats to lounge on, tables & umbrellas (in the pool), some with activities like water volleyball, etc,. The beach is pretty and very quiet, but calm water so my husband & I didn't last there long (my husband is a ride the waves kind of beach goer). We preferred the main pool's active & fun feel. Although, be warned that on any of the beaches locals will approach you to sell stuff since the beaches are public. It wasn't bad and a nice "no thank you" was all they needed. They had tons of restaurants & an awesome Pizza stand. A few shops. An ice cream place. The spa was amazing! They also had a pool room with other games. There was also a small casino next door. (this was about 5 years ago so I don't know if it's still there)

 

I'm not surprised to read about your trouble communicating with them though as the workers seemed aloof at times. Our room came with a butler so luckily we didn't have to deal with the front desk at all. If you can somehow get through, I don't think you'll regret spending your day there. It's a gorgeous resort with a lot to offer.

We also went to Sandals for the day as it was a great way for us to find out if we would like to return for a week, Unfortunately we discovered the same thing, the staff were stand offish, we decided to try the Bahamas Sandals after this one to see if it was different, found exactly the same thing. 

Glad we found this out before spending a lot of money and going for a week, we'll stick to Secrets Resorts for our land trips,
