Best Piano Entertainer on Carnival? (Part 2)

Well I said I would review Russell Blues after my two week Dream cruise. I will say I was not impressed at all. He seemed like a fine player and singer, but to me he did not entertain. He did not the the crowd engaged IMHO.

In the two weeks on the ship, I spent 20 minutes in the piano bar one night and ten on the second night.

Now I would not choose a cruise because he was he was the PBE either.

Barry Meijer (https://www.facebook.com/Barrymeijer79) and Elizabeth Setzer (http://www.elizabethsetzer.net/) engaged with the crowd. Both were excellent players and Elizabeth was an outstanding singer.

I will say that when we went to the comedy club, Russell Blues did not impress me either, so I don't think I caught him on a bad night.

I am sure there will be people that will disagree with me on this, but we are all entitled to our opinion, as long as we keep it to being our opinion.

Is any one familiar with Tom Grable? He'll be the one on our Glory cruise.

He is the PBE that the above comments from the Conquest were referencing. Hope you have a better experience. On the FB page for the piano bar entertainers, he has pretty good feedback, so who knows!

I was happy to see that someone agreed with my assessment of this guy. I do not understand how he gets such high marks unless it is the late night crowd that likes when he gets raunchy. He does not seem to be about entertaining the guests but about performing his way with no deviation from the plan depending on what the crowd wants.

Can someone post the latest schedule for PBE's on this site? Thanks

Here it is. I don't get over here all that often unless I am looking for something specfic. I tend to focus on updating the list in the FB Group Carnival Cruise Lines Piano Bar-Barians. Sorry!

*** A note about this list: This list is compiled from reports and reviews of current cruisers and reports from the entertainers themselves. There is no guarantee of accuracy. An actual date usually means that the schedule has been confirmed by either the performer or someone inside Carnival. Schedules are subject to change.

I have taken the Spirit off the list because they are going with a different type of scheduling, using guest entertainers week to week. While the Legend is Down Under as well, it won’t be included on this list.

I realize that most people are using the "site which shall not be mentioned" to discuss Piano Bar entertainers; however, I wanted to pop on this thread to add my 2 cents from my recent cruise to benefit other people like myself who don't frequent that other site :)

Splendor B2B 5/21/17 & 5/27/17 - Piano Bar Entertainer Skip - just fabulous! I had a great time in the Piano Bar as did many other people on our cruise. Skip has a large song selection and he is very personable. NEVER asks for tips, plays requests freely and makes all guests feel welcome while offering a FUNSHIP piano bar experience!

Kudos to Skip, for a wonderful time in the Piano Bar and fun chats after hours in the Casino bar!

I searched for 20 minutes to finally find this thread,,,, is there a part 3 or 4 that has a current lineup of piano entertainers?

I’m not sure that this list is updated much! They mainly use the other site that shall remain nameless!

Joanne
