Shipbuilding

With all the discussions on which ship is better than another it led me to thinking, if I was to build a ship out of the current P&O fleet which bits I would use, here is my conclusion:

Aft - Aurora

Library - Aurora

Buffet layout - Britannia

Ocean Grill - Arcadia

Crows Nest - Arcadia

Promenade - Arcadia

Glass House - Azura

Epicurean - Azura

Beech House - Oriana (the one in the buffet, I think it's a beech house)

Bar - Orchid Bar Arcadia

Bar - Brodie's Britannia

MDRs - not fussed

Thermal Suite - Britannia

Cabins - Not Britannia (small bathroom and balcony) other ships all ok

Grab n Go & Pizza - Britannia

Limelight - Britannia

Theatre shows - Britannia but with the seating arrangement of another ship

Adult swimming - Britannia

Orchid Restaurant-Arcadia, I know it's gone but we liked it more than Sindhu

Cafe Bordeaux - Aurora, again a sad loss

Laundrette - Aurora

Room Steward - Siva (was Arcadia)

I've also been on Ventura and Oceana but their bits got pipped to the post!

I'm not sure she would be seaworthy when I glued her together [emoji849]

sounds like the perfect ship but alas the Library on Aurora is no more. It was a beautiful space but has turned into Sindhu and the Library is now a cubby hole next to the Crows Nest

I suppose when space is at a premium and it has to justify itself in financial terms, it is inevitable they got rid of it [emoji31]

I keep meaning to go back on Aurora it's been about 15 years now, I probably wouldn't know it is the same ship.

Thats the problem Florry, the ships change in a drive for profit. Things like a decent library don't survive.

The lovely spacious pub on Ventura is now dark and cramped as they built a whole load of cabins in what was part of the pub previously (they must be a bit noisy for most of the day would think and not a cabin I would choose to book).

They make more money from cramming in more cabins but it just adds a little to the pressure on dining, theatre seats, sunbeds etc as more people.

I like your ship, can someone build it:)

Has to have Oceana's atrium surely ;-)

This is a weird thing, I never really notice the difference between Atriums, they all look ok to me. I think it's a bit like colour blindness [emoji15] I just have never been able to percieve one being different from another!

Ok Cardiff with a luxury free sea shuttle to Liverpool every day [emoji3] As for the name I think we should call her Epitome [emoji1360]

Doesn't end in an 'a' -- :-)

Surely Adonia's library is far, far superior to all the others?

Agreed - must be one of the best libraries at sea

I do wish though that they wouldn't lock the books away when the librarian is not on duty. Do pax really steal books ?
