Just an FYI - the tour with beer and pretzels was a $69 excursion - Ours was cancelled and RCCL immediately put the money back on our accounts which was cool but when we got off the ship yesterday and went over there by ourselves the same tour with beer and pretzels was only $13/ea. It was actually a really good time but def not worth $69. Do it on your own.

Yeah, if it's a walking tour or if you can find the same tour online and available from a reputable company, pick it all the time over the cruise offering. We did that last month with the Freeport brewery. We didn't want to bother with the perfume factory and shopping, just wanted to do the brewery and taproom. So we just took a cab ourselves and booked through them for half the price and none of the hassle.

Did they say why it was cancelled?

I am not disputing the fact that ship tours are usually at a premium but in this case are you really comparing apples with apples?

We were recently in Nassau so I had looked into this tour as a possibility (also available to book independently) but decided it was overpriced!

However, I recall it offered more than one venue and more food than just pretzels. I know you can just visit the pirate place and do a tour for about $10? If you only visited the Pirate Republic Brewing Company and had pretzels you hardly did the same tour as the ship offered. If indeed you did visit the other places and enjoyed the extra food then you really did get a bargain.

Your festive crawl introduces you to the history, culture, and traditions of beer making. Discover Smuggler’s Beer Garden when you can enter a secret shaded courtyard to try Kalik beers and delicious conch fritters. The quaint colonial Hillside House is defined by its grandeur, history, and character. The building holds the fascinating artworks of Antonius Roberts, which celebrate Bahamian and African heritage. It is here you’ll receive delectable samples of Sands Beer and chicken wings. Close to the docks is the Pirate Republic Brewing Company. Here, enjoy a selection of extraordinary craft beers named after pirates, and munch on German pretzels.“
