Barcelona Industrialist Strike

We are scheduled to arrive in Barcelona this Sat.,

Oct. 7th and are leaving on a cruise on the 9th. American Airlines alerted us to an industrial action and offered to reschedule with no fee, which obviously won't work for us. We just spoke to the company that we hired to transfer us from the airport to our hotel and they told us that this is a 1 day strike. I know there were other dates where actions were planned and the 7th is not included. Does anyone have any further information?

I saw that October 6 is on the list but didn't see the 7th mentioned either.

I just went to the American Airlines web site and they are allowing changes for Barcelona flights that are arriving/departing October 2-13 so it seems that they have extended this to a larger window then the specific strike dates.

Where did you see the list of strike dates? We arrive on the 18th.

I was there on Oct 3 leaving Barcelona and going south to Valencia. Metro was working at 25% capacity in morning and evening, some taxis didn't and main highway to Valencia blocked for short time may be 20-30 min where demonstrators walked under police protection.
