The haven is a private area for those in haven suites. The spa area is for those who are in a spa cabin, or paid for a spa pass for the week. The gym is free, no need to sign up, but you might have to sign up and pay for some classes. No water aerobics.

Having been on the Haven personally and as well as others have said, it is a unsurpassed luxury that is way better than any other major cruise line...you are attended to with your own assigned butler and can lounge in your own private paradise in the lounge area or hot tubs...

gyms are totally free...

spa is also heavenly on the Escape with heated lounges, hot tubs, sauna, snow and salt rooms but I personally think its expensive...you have three options, book the haven alone for all its luxury which is absolutely worth its...or book a spa cabin where access to the spa is complimentary...or book the spa separately for around 200 dollars per person..i hope this helps

The haven is a category of suite rooms and only those rooms have access to it. The escape has a vibe area, however, which is somewhat similar, a private access area of the ship for only those with passes. Those can be purchased at guest services on the first day of the cruise but they often sell out.

There's two aspects to the spa. There's the thermal spas which also require a pass. You can purchase a week pass and if those don't sell out they sometimes offer day passes for purchase. You can also book spa appointments, however, those don't get you access to the thermal spa. Yes, they are more expensive than many spas on land.

The gym is free and you can just show up. They offer classes for additional purchase and request you book ahead for those. But the machines and free weights are available for everyone.

I've never seen water aerobics offered. Usually there is spinning, boot camp, and yoga in the gym for additional charge. Sometimes there is a stretch and/or zumba class offered for free on deck.

You can get internet onboard. Everyone can log into the Norwegian's network for free to get access to iconcierge features. To access the internet you'll set up an account on norweigan's network and it will give you the options for internet packages or pay by the minute rates. There's also an internet café onboard that can set you up.

Thank u so much for your replies. We are in a balcony room but I guess that doesn't entitle us to entry to haven. I presume the haven room hv to be booked at time if booking. Didn't know this at all. Any idea of cost of passes to spa . Is thermal spa and spa the same place. Seems like there are lots of extra charges even for boot camp etc. Perhaps this is normal. I am new and clueless

Very normal, main stream cruising always has extra charges for a lot of things, thermal spa, spa services, specialty restaurants, specialty coffees, specialty treats, excursions, arcade games, bowling... however, you can skip it all and still have a brea5 time.

Regarding the spa:

The pass for a 7 day cruise is 199 if you purchase a pass before boarding the ship...you can do this in your MyNCL account wjere you can also reserve some entertainment and dinner . Recommended if you have a preference of when you like to dine.. you can change it on board if you want or need to.

Definetly book the shows ahead that are available to do so or you will be wait listed (high probablity)

Back to the spa....for many of us it is tue best money spent for the week.

But only if you use it. ..so keep that in mind think about what you plan to do. 9n sea days and port days. Will you be touring all day then supper then entertainment...not the best value for you.

Will you be doing morning or afternoon tours only...then it may be a good value if you go to the spa for a couple hours before or after your tour.

Are you going to jist walk off the ship walk around for a bit on your own then go back on board or stay on Tue ship for some ports...great value...this is me. I jave been to most of tjese ports multiple times. I am cruising for the ship not the ports. Tue ship is my destination. So I will be using the spa every day.

Based on this you will know if it will be good value for you or not.

They only sell 70 per cruise.

It is an exclusive area on the deck for sun bathing and relaxing.

It is a mad rush to get to headliners where they are sold.

You literally jave to run.

And if you are not at the port early and in boarding group 1...you have zero chance of getting one.

Boarding groups are first come first serve. When it is time to board they call group numbers.

People with priority boarding..platinum level loyalty status and above , haven guests some other special groups, people with walkers/wheel chairs

Etc all go on first...then it is group one tuen 2 etc.

Depending how many priority boarding people want passes will determine how many in group one get them. Not all do.

the information on it was there yesterday....gone today :(

I'll just keep checking. Yesterday it said they could be booked on 10/29

Are you at 90days for your cruise yet?

If not it won't be available until you are.

If you are under 90 days and it was tuere and is saying not available now...they are sold out. Limited number available for pre sale each cruise.

Unlimited access to the thalasso therapy spa. Some one detailed the major elements that are there above.

Hydro therapy pools lounge beds.

Heated tile beds

Panoramic view

Salt room

ice room

steam room

Etc

Google ncl escape spa or go to my ncl for pictures and more info.

It is exclusive unlimited use. Limited number of passes sold so never crowded...often very few people in there.

Yes, it’s normal. Many cruises don’t turn a profit based on cabin sales, they turn a profit based on onboard sales.

What’s included in your cruise fare?

As much food as you can eat in the free dining venues - the main dining room, buffet, and o sheehans; some basic non-alcoholic beverages - lemonade, ice tea, coffee, flavored water at the buffet; shows outside of the dinner/shows; nightly game shows and parties; use of the gym, pools, sundecks, and any special things the ship has (rock climbing, ropes course, etc); daily activities (at least once you filter out the extra cost ones like bingo and drink tastings); plus your room and transportation to ports.

Quite a bit is included but they also continue to offer additional charge offerings like gym classes, spa passes, vibe passes, photos, alcohol, bingo, casino, shore excursions, etc to turn a profit.

we are at day 95. I guess I'm confused as to how can they be sold out if they weren't supposed to go on sale until 10/29?
