Removing & Editing Reviews

I just noticed that many threads are being edited and whole pages have been removed. While I can undertsand the need to edit posts, however, I do not agree with removing entire pages, as users get only half the story. What's the use in typing until your fingers hurt if entire pages and/or threads will be removed?
