I asked the same thing this morning about NCL's private island, Great Stirrup Cay. My husband would love to do this and I just ordered a small travel fishing rod from Amazon that folds up to less than 10 inches.

I’ve gotten several replies but no one has addressed my question if it is allowed or not. They just want to give their opinions on what a bad idea it is.

I went last year in april and brought my travel rod in a case and some lures in my back pack. When you hit the beach, walk all the way to the right and that's where I was fishing at. Caught couple barracuda on plugs but no worker bothered me.

I called Royal Caribbean and was told you can bring your own fishing rods.
