Explorer Pacific Coast Internet Speeds

Funny thing was that we had a multiple device package for the first day, and then the management decided that they had made a mistake and cut it back to 1 device with no notification. So we got used to both using it at the same time and didn't realize the problem until someone explained about the policy change. Typical RC.

Must be you. I have multiple device capability. :D

Leaving San Francisco, just outside the Golden Gate bridge:

Internet unuseable. Could not log into email, could not bring up speedtest site. Don't know if the heavy fog had anything to do with it.

Several hours later, somewhere off the coast of California, heading north to Victoria:

Download: 3.82 Mbps

Upload: 0.94 Mbps

Ping: 594 ms

We were on the Sept 23 sailing, and had no problems using my iPad to check email, and surf the web. Once in a great while it would take a few seconds for something to load, but it was basically fast, and totally worth the cost.

Did you have the surf and stream or just the surf package?

I just had surf. I just wanted to be on the web, and check email, and it was fine for that. I was on it a few times during the day, and then for an hour or two in the evening.

Thanks. That's good to know.
