Port Shopping Expert

Can someone tell me if the Port Shopping Expert is employed by the cruiselines or an outside company?

They have one function, steering toward Carnival sponsored shops. The best jewelry store is NOT Diamonds International.

I don't usually go to their talks and I do not buy jewelry on vacation, but I had heard they were not employees of Carnival. Just curious.

I knew the casino was contracted but I had no idea that the fun shops and the excursion desk were. The art dealer is contracted as well.

Who said the excursion desk is farmed out. I believe they are CCL employees. I know the Spa is owned by Steiner

I have been told by people working in the Fun Shops that they are not Carnival employees but rather work for a company that Carnival contracts with for their on board merchandise sales. Take it for what it's worth. As to the excursion staff, I asked my PVP about that recently and he was certain they are internal to Carnival but again, take it for what it's worth.

Casino: looks to be Carnival Corp and PLC doing the hiring

Entertainment and Youth: Carnival Entertainment

Gift Shop: Starboard Cruise Services (outside company)

Salon: The Onbaord Spa by Steiner (another outside company)

Fun Finds Shopping Expert: LVMH company (outside)

Art Auctions: Park West (outside)

The Victoria Secrets sales people on the Horizon are definitely not Carnival employees.
