Carnival Magic - deck 6

This is no biggie question, but I thought I would ask, as we have never done the Magic before.

We have an inner room on Deck 6. If you have been on deck 6 and had an inner room, would you tell me your pros/cons (your opinion I know) of the room, or what is close by, etc.?

I was going to go on deck 6 but I always look what's above and below.

This time I'm going on deck 2 when I want sleep I sleep. Above us is the restaurant which I'm fine bc they close even before I make it to my room. In the morning, I've had a good sleep so waking up early doesn' bother me and it starts the full day off!

We were midship balcony on 6 above the main Casino floor on our last cruise on Magic. It wasn't bad only issue was the week we cruised they were having a wheel of fortune slots tournament. So occasionally at night you would hear the PA system from the tourney but it was fairly muffled and easily covered with the TV on low or a white noise machine.

Thank you for your responses. Maybe it won't be in too bad of a location. It is room 6352. We were given another room, but it was close to the end of the ship, so I ask if we could get one closer to the middle. As for sleeping, I love Carnival's beds, and if I'm sleepy enough, nothing can keep me awake! I did get it so it would be close to elevators and steps. Normally I do the steps all the time, unless I am wearing heels. I know it is good exercise for me. :)

My wife and I will be in room 6327 on the Magic February 10. Sounds like a good location.

We've been on deck 6 on the magic twice, both times in the rear, and loved it. We're doing a 4J this next ship, but still on deck 6.

Love being right above the promenade. It's great because they have continental breakfast there in the morning which is quiet and I can avoid the craze of the Lido buffet.

It's nice at night to be so close to promenade as well. Our first time was a GTY and I was worried about noise since we were just above the piano bar, and I won't say we couldn't hear it but it was a low din and never impacted sleep or comfort.

there is a lot of noise areas from deck 5. (and some of the noise area is not seen on a deck plan-- like the band that sets up outside the casino bar and do not start playing until 9pm and goes til the wee hours of the morning

Being over the show lounge could get you noise as dancers practice either late at night or early in the morning

Over the casino is not bad so picking an even # cabin is good. as long as you avoid the areas of the lounges

including the spotlight lounge which is the comedy club and they do shows at midnight-- whennot doing comedy this is where the karokee is done
