Very new to Celebrity .. mostly RCCL cruisers ... but will be on Equinox this coming August and can't wait!

Please forgive the rookie question here, but whats the smoking policy ?

I'm sure cabin balconies are a no-no ... but can you folks tell me, do they have smoking in casino .. and on one side of pool deck like RC?

Thanks for the info! (I like making sure my partners only smoking where he's allowed to!) ;)

Several smoking areas are dotted about, including in the pool deck - port side by the stairs by the main lifts. There are no smoking areas inside, including in the Casino

The only smoking areas are outside areas. There is an outside smoking area on the port side of deck 5 mid ship. There is a smoking area on the port side of the pool deck, but it is not one whole side of the pool deck. Mast bar on deck 14 has a smoking area. Sunset Bar on 14 has a smoking area. No smoking is allowed in the Casino.

Per Celebrity's website:

"For your comfort and enjoyment, our ships are designated as non-smoking; however, we recognize that some of our guests smoke. Therefore, cigarette, cigar and pipe smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas of the ship. Smoking is not permitted in any dining venue, casino, theater, lounge, hallway, elevator, or corridor. This policy includes smoking-like products such as electronic cigarettes. Smoking is not permitted inside any stateroom, nor on any stateroom veranda. If you are in violation of this policy, a cleaning fee of $250 USD will be applied to your SeaPass® account and you may be subject to further action pursuant to the "Consequences Section" of the Guest Conduct Policy. Cigarettes, cigars and pipe tobacco must be properly disposed of and never thrown overboard. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase, possess or use tobacco onboard.

Additionally, there is a non-smoking policy on all components of the land tour portion of all Celebrity Cruises Cruisetour products. We appreciate your understanding and adherence."

When on board I've never run into a smokey area. The few allowable places are always on the port side (left) (as stated by the previous poster). I think the dailies identify the specific allowable spots.

I am on Equinox in January room 6263. Reading some posts i am concerned about smoke from Deck 5 smoking area stinking up our balcony.

Anyone been in this room or close to this room?

Any help would be appreciated..

You will be approximately 8 cabins to the aft of the smoking area. Just off the Equinox, and was in 6237, which is directly above the smoking area. I never smelled smoke on my balcony. You should be fine.

Thanks Gimletgal,

I will save my favors for Celebrity contact and just roll with this room. I agree if the ship is moving how could you smell that much smoke.

Plus as others have said you dont spend that much time in your room but on the other hand I paid for a balcony for a reason..

Thanks for the help...
