Noordam will be at the CT dock from 1000-2200.

Juneau will be experiencing a day that they seldom see. There is a 0% chance of rain, it is going to be mostly sunny, and the high is predicted to be an astounding 82F/27C! The low will be 56F/13C. Sunrise is at 4:00 am and sunset at 10:04 pm.

Also celebrating Independence Day in Juneau are Star Princess at the FKL dock (0630-1600), Seven Seas Mariner at the AJ dock (0900-2300), and Emerald Princess at the AS dock (12:30-2200).

The PTZtv webcam can be found at http://www.juneauharborwebcam.com/.

Next up: Westerdam on Thursday.

I wonder if Juneau will have fireworks and if the Noordam will stay in port for them today.

We were in Juneau for the Fourth many years ago. I know I saw the fireworks set up on the opposite side of the passage, but what is still a vivid memory is the parade they held. The starting point of the parade was at the port right in front of us as we docked (we were on the old Star Princess). While standing at the rail a gentleman from Sweden looked out and exclaimed. "Look, Smokey the Bear!" We all laughed and we felt as if the parade was welcoming us. It was a great experience being in Juneau on the Fourth.

Wow! She is very early - the passengers will have a nice, long Independence Day in Juneau. I wonder if there will be special festivities in town.

Happy 4th of July to all!:D

Webcam operator is so good, they will soon be able to do the "Request-a-Wave" in Juneau!

Ann, just a guess but they might stay until 11 for fireworks.

It would be nice if they can do that!:) However that will be midnight for me, so well past my bedtime.

Hopefully, see you all later, and thanks to PTZ (and Kathi) for a nice sail in!
