What to do between Embarkation and Sailaway??

I only sail in full suites and I can't even get the dine line to answer for my first night complimentary dinner. I also can't get Room service to answer to trade my 2 mini bars for all diet cokes so the suite isn't the key. Is it your first hand experience to get room service lunch on embarkation day? I usually just go to the dining room, last week the Club class was open for lunch but prior to that cruise it was not so apparently it's ship decision and not consistent.

No, I can't get them to answer the phone on any cruise we are on.

And believe me I have tried.

We usually explore the ship top down front to back and then get lunch, normally just hit the Horizontal Court “Come back Fat”.

We have ordered both from RS for consumption on our balcony and they were good.

drink a nice one on balcony then lunch in mdr then unpack and watch the world goby on balcony

On a slightly related note, anyone that is new to princess or new to that class of ships, I definitely second the recommendations of the scavenger hunt. We took our adult children on the emerald we did it to help all of us get acquainted with that ship. It Was the largest we had been on and our children had never cruise before. We found it very helpful. About three-quarters of the way through we got bored and we joined the sail away party on Deck.

Look into the Ultimate Ship Tour. It is expensive but you get lots of "free" stuff. Register right away, space is limited.

any chance since in suite the concierge can get you in quicker? (assuming lounge is open upon boarding)

I always try to learn the ship. Some are easier than others to navigate. At least for me.
