Dundedin excursion - Larnach Castle and Taieri Gorge Train

We will be visiting Dundedin on Ovation of the Seas and I am looking for a shore excursion that combines the Taieri Gorge train and a visit to Larnach Castle. RCL used to have this combo shore excursion but they have recently released excursions for this port and it is no longer listed. Can anyone recommend where I can find a tour that combines both of these attractions? Tks

Tours by locals.. they will do a tour just for you. I have done the train.

Have done both tours and separate occasions. The train ride itself is particularly a full day affair and then trying to get out on the peninsula to see the Castle you would have limited time.

I would send the whole day on the peninsula and see the sights , the Albatross , the penguins , the Castle etc.

Thanks for the link. Looks like that tour only runs 8:45 to 5 and ship docks at 9:30 to 6:30. Have sent an inquiry to see if they adjust their time.

I'll be there in November on HAL Noordam and booked Gorge + city tour through GoodCompanyTours.com but in checking we leave the pier at 8:45am.

This has to do with the train schedule.

We have another mountain train trip out of Christchurch to Arthur's Pass. Time is tight on that one so I booked with the ship.
