Connecting ipad to tv on QE?

Has anyone managed recently to connect an iPad (or other tablet) to the tv on the Queen Elizabeth (Brittania balcony stateroom)?

Cunard's FAQ seems to suggest we might be able to do this but then goes on to state that sometimes the connections are disabled.

Many thanks!

As you stare there are mixed messages, it appears best to visit "Connections" when first onboard. They will have all the answers and possible support.

I doubt if Connexions will have any answers with regards to your tv in your cabin.

It would possibly depend if your hand is small enough to reach the usb socket which is located at the side of the tv. Most tv's have been re located to the wall facing the beds. The gap available between the wall and tv is very tight .

We have managed to do this whilst on QE.

Go to an APPLE store and purchase a Digital AV adapter cable (think thats what its called) you can then connect your iPad to the TV set and watch your movies. (only thing you might have to do is balance your iPad on top of the Tv or on a chair dependant on length of cable)

What we do on longer voyages is have a "night off" formal dining and dressing up, its comfy clothes, room service and a few movies which we hire from iTunes. The benefit being you don't need wifi to watch these films having downloaded them at home and can enjoy them in your cabin.

(I imagine those savvy enough could happily watch season 2 of The Crown, having downloaded it from Netflix in their stateroom this way!!)
