Seabourn Cruise Line Names Actress Elaine Paige Godmother of Seabourn Ovation

I am so surprised that they are doing this in Malta as I recently saw a post that they were working feverishly to finish out the ship amid snow in Italy! But perhaps all will be done by May 11th! The view going into Valetta is fabulous! We enjoyed Malta.

When Seabourn changed the original itinerary for the maiden cruise to put a sea day on either side of porting in Malta, with a near midnight departure, we thought that was a tip-off something special would be planned there. Our prior visit on Quest to Malta was a highlight of that cruise, and Elaine Paige should be delightful. We are on this cruise and are counting down the days with great anticipation!! :D:D:D:D:D

BoilerBill, I am so envious! What is the embarkation date? We are still talking about Malta from last September. Have a wonderful voyage. We especially enjoyed Mdina (the original old capital of Malta). It was such a lovely place with a fascinating history.

We embark on May 5 in Venice, and we continue on to Amsterdam. Our booking was made in Jan 2017 --- seems like forever ago. But less than 2 months, now! That's exciting for us, but from the shipyard status pictures we've seen lately, Fincantieri must be wringing their hands.
