Houston Hobby Transport

We have 4 people and luggage flying into Hobby. Staying at hotel in League City and then going to port the next morning. Any suggestions on transportation from airport to hotel and hotel to port and estimated cost? Leaning towards Uber.

I highly recommend you stay at a hotel near the airport. There is no reason to try to stay at one in between as there are few options beyond cabs or Uber.

I understand. But 8 of us are driving down and want to stay as close to Galveston as economically possible.

Oh it was my understanding you are flying into Hobby. I would still recommend a hotel near the airport or a hotel in Galveston. I am really unclear on just how many you have in your group but if you have 8 driving in and 4 flying in it may be worthwhile to book a private shuttle.

The drive time from Hobby Airport is about 45 minutes and the drive time from a Texas City hotel would be around 25 - 30 minutes. It really is a wash.

Have the 8 driving in pick up the 4 flying into Houston.

Even if the 8 have to drop off some and go back to airport to pick up the 4.

Do the same for hotel to port.

Hopefully they're driving 2 cars and can squeeze 2 extra bodies in each car.

We had family fly into houston as well and we picked them up on our way from Dallas to Galveston. A little inconvenient but we made it work.

I hadn't thought about just making a few extra trips to get the fliers. Great idea if we can get the timing worked out.
