Indoor activity ideas for St. Martin

I will be in St. Martin in late July on the Caribbean Princess. I am in my 30s and my husband and I are doing this cruise as a way to spend time with his parents. I am looking for ideas of things to do that do not involve sun or water (yes, I know that sounds nutty and this is the wrong part of the world for that, but I have to avoid both for medical reasons). We did a Mexican Riviera cruise a few years ago and visited some local museums--anything like that in St. Thomas. Other ideas?

There are lots of great restaurants. Take a look at Loterie Farm as well. There is a small museum in Philipsburg as well. There are casinos as well and nice spas.

Lots of shopping on Front Street - it's a nice place to stroll and relax. Nice restaurants on the bay with water views and shade. Check out the Guavaberry Emporium. A couple casino's too. We've been to St. Martin many times, when in port there it's our day to shop, drink, and chill out:)

I see that you asked for St. Thomas.......you got a great suggestion for St. Maarten with the Yoda store/tour.

In St. Thomas you might enjoy the ice bar http://www.magicice.vi/

There is also a place called Coral World https://coralworldvi.com/ which would give you a little of what the caribbean is about without the sun. There is also the skyride to paradise point https://www.paradisepointvi.com/ which gives amazing views of the entire side of the island, makes for gorgeous pics, there is a covered bar at the top where you could enjoy a beverage, there is a bird show too.

Hope this helps a little

A quick report back on what we did in St. Martin. If people are interested I can post a more detailed review. Our scheduled port time was 7am-6pm. We got off shortly after 7am and walked into town in warm heavy rain. We walked around a very empty and quiet front street. We had heard negative things about the local buses, but we kept seeing them go by. After we had dried off, we jumped on one and went to Marigot. We then spent several hours walking around Marigot before hopping on a bus back. We hit up the now-packed Guavaberry Emporium and then walked back to the ship.
