Filling in time between disembarking and catching the plane

We are due to arrive into Athens early morning for disembarkation, and our Azamara booked flight back to London is mid afternoon. We've spent some time in Athens previously, so don't really want to pay for a coach tour en-route to the airport.

 

If we don't do a tour, can anybody sugegst what time we will be expected to disembark, and what arrangements might be made for us to fill in time until catching the flight.

 

Would it be possible to rendezvouz with our luggage at the airport? Depending on timings we might be happy to make our own way into the city centre for lunch and then head on to the airport.
