What is the BEST deal you ever got on an NCL cruise?

April 2014 Southern Caribbean on The Sun - $410 per person! My husband won a vacation from work that January, and we hemmed and hawed over lots of options. This cruise won easily. The Sun is still our favorite ship.

Our best deal was 15 day TA on Epic this past April. Inside room for $599 plus taxes. But we got UBP including gratuities on UBP, and free regular gratuities, so for 15 days free perks were worth over $3600. Our total with taxes for 15 days was under $1500.

How did you manage to get free gratuities on UBP ?

How did the 15 days free perks add up to $3600?

I second this. Epic Dec 5 to 15, 2018 I feel like i got a good deal.

1029 per person Balcony plus $211 taxes/fees plus $176 beverage package= $1416 per person

Perks included:

$300 OBC fron NCL

$200 OBC from TA

Beverage package

$100 per port excursion credit

250 minutes of WiFi

120 minutes of phone calls from stateroom to land

Im on that sailing. When I booked we got DSC paid, 125 OBC from the TA and 100 OBC from from NCL. Then NCL offered paid taxes promo. I called the TA and we lost the NCL OBC but kept our paid DSC, taxes paid now, keep the TA OBC, 50 dollars per port excursion credit, internet minutes, calling minutes, bottle of wine . No complains here

We booked an aft penthouse suite on the Pearl out of New Orleans in Feb 2017 for about $1700 pp cruising Dec 16, 2018. They later moved the Breakaway to New Orleans for our cruise date and upgraded us to a 1 bedroom aft haven suite that would have cost us about $2600 pp if we had booked it. Really looking forward to checking out the haven.

I guest my best deal is coming up. CAS comped us an oceanview cabin on the Oct 14th Escape sailing. Administrative fees came to $280 for us both and I paid using my CruiseNext certificate. My total was $30 because I booked it during a tax free promo. Let's see how much it actually winds up costing us!!

How do you all find out the great deals on upcoming cruises? Would love some tips!

The best deal I got was the one we never took advantage of. We were on a 10 day Gem cruise in a comped aft Suite(cost us about $600 with fees and such). We had 27 in our group all in the aft on deck 10. 3 days before we sail I got a call from someone who always took care of me at CAS and offered me the Garden Villa for $1000(500 each). I cannot believe I did it, but I turned it down because we wanted to stay with the group. I should have taken it and used the Villa as our meeting place for pre dinner and such. As it was our aft suite was used as the meeting place anyway. Oh well

If you are a frequent player in the casino on any of the ships, you may qualify for either a discounted or free cruise. Some players are contacted directly via mail or email promos (we were not!) and others find out when they call Casinos at Sea (877 752-9625) and ask. You will need to provide them with your passenger number. If you and your significant other are both players, provide them with both numbers, as they will combine play for qualification purposes. Hope this helps!

Dec 9, 2006 was ours!

It was an 11-day cruise on the NCL Wind around the Hawaiian Islands and Fanning Island, just 3 degrees or so off the Equator starting in Honolulu and back to Honolulu. Those days NCL had 4 ships based in Hawaii and they were struggling to fill the ships and boy, were there some insane bargains to be had.

We flew out of LAX, had a one-night pre-cruise hotel stay, the 11-day cruise, one-night post-cruise stay and the flight back to LAX. All for $611 each, cruise, hotels, flights, airport/hotel/cruiseport transfers, port charges, taxes, fees included! Everything booked thru NCL.

Please keep this thread to NCL only cruises. Thanks.

I suspect that my most recent cruise is the best deal that I have gotten, but it is really impossible to calculate without going back and calculating inflation, the current perks, excursion costs, etc.

NCL right now is a tremendous value.

Used a travel agent (NCL direct discounts typically suck). 11 day inside cabin on NCL Epic (Jan 12-23rd 2019). $944 pp total which includes the taxes, port charges, Ultimate Beverage Package, the gratuities associated with the Ultimate Beverage Package, and Complimentary Daily Service Charges.

NCL Epic on Nov 24, 2018 is cheaper at $770 for 11 nights in an inside cabin, including port fees and taxes, excluding gratuities.

Lovely ports and itinerary.

If you add the service charges (gratuities) that's another $319.00 total for two people. So, the cost of your $770.00 would be $929pp. But, did you get the drink package? Because the drink package and gratuities associated with the package are also included in my original $944pp total cost which is saving a bunch of money.

Isn't the drinks package offered free to ALL bookings as 1 of the 4 free perks? Its undoubtedly the best choice. Of course, NCL charges you 20% extra as drinks gratuities. This is in addition to the regular daily service charges.

I guess 2 come to mind: one was our last cruise out of Boston a few months ago: the rate wasn't all that low but between the promo and the TA perks all our gratuities, were covered plus, of course the dining package, drink package, internet, $50 excursion discount and to top it off, we had about $250 obc. We left the ship with a huge bill of $21.00 and we had a hard time spending all the credit. ;p

The other good deals were way back when I got a TA rate or used our interline rate via my girls who were both airline employees. But that goes way back. :*
