Christmas cruise advice

Just wondering what the chances are of me getting a significantly reduced rate on a cruise the week after Christmas 2008 if we wait until the last minute. They are all so expensive right now! Any opinions????

Zero percent. The week after xmas is new years, very pricey. I have watched prices over the last four years and with the exception of a couple of non voyager class ships, the cheapest price of an inside goes for above $1,000.

Two years ago, the cheapest price for a Xmas RCL cruise was the Grandeur, going for around $850, out of N.O. Princess priced the Golden at $25 less for a room with a window, so you know what I got!

The week after the new years cruise is always cheap, usually by 50%.

Agree with dclark, that is a prime time for family vacations.
