Wind Surf dinner reservations?

If you don't arrive on ship until later in the day (maybe 4pm), do you struggle to get in good dinner reservations for the week? For example, I would like to dine at Candles in St Barts. We're spending the night before at the Westin Dawn Beach and would like to relax at the resort on Saturday.

We have never had problems getting reservations at either restaurant. For example I love the WS's lamb, we make reservations based on that and have done so day by day. Also on the Tall Ship trip. I thought everyone would want to eat at Candles going out the Oslo fiord, we were a party of 12 two tables of 6 no problem. We are coming up on our 20th never an issue, enjoy your day at the Westin. Happy Sailing. Susanne

not a problem....everyone gets at least one reservation at each of the 2 specialty venues., Candles and Stella Bistro. After you check in, you will be asked to pick your times for the 2 restaurants. After everyone has checked in and made their selections, you can ask for additional reservations. There are always extra spaces available. Candles is my favorite. I could easily eat there twice during a cruise. The steaks are fabulous. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. The main restaurant AamphorA is excellent. Enjoy St. Martin and don't worry about checking in early. Have a nice lunch before heading to the ship. Checkin starts at 1 pm and nobody gets on the ship before that time. Enjoy!

On our first few Windstar cruises, we were able to order from either the Stella Bistro menu or the Amphora menu in both restaurants. On our last cruise, we were told that that was no longer permitted. We were only able to obtain one reservation in Stella Bistro and in Candles during our cruise. One of several reasons that we have decided not to sail with Windstar again.
