Silversea/Internet/Cell/Verizon

I am looking for some guidance as to the best way to have cell and internet service while on the Silversea Dec 6 Southern Caribbean cruise. Just finished talking with Verizon and they told me they no longer have an agreement with Silversea. I need cell and data service on this cruise so am hoping someone can enlighten me with the best way to proceed? If my only option is through the ship, wondering how reliable it is. TIA

On the Spirit in Sharm El Sheik, Egypt and using the ship’s Internet. Internet has been pretty reliable with a few dropouts. Speed not bad and we signed up for the kind of medium speed service. On land we use our cell phones through our Verizon International plan. Have not tried to make a call or text while out to sea.

Been through this many times. Ship will have reliable internet available for most of your use, as long as it's not bandwidth hogs. Ship will have a "at sea" cellular service and direct phone calling from your room. Using the ships cellular service.

We use Tmobile to gert free data service on most islands and only. 20 cents a minute to make calls. Only problem with that way is remembering to turn off cellular connection on the phone when going out to sea.

Just be aware that the $10 per day program doesn't work on the ship.

Yes I am aware of that but I think it will work when we are in port providing I can Locate the cell tower
