QM2 Tuxedos and flight times

We will be sailing on the QM2 for a transatlantic crossing from Southampton to New York departing May 29,2006.

What time is disembarkation and what time should we schedule our flight out of New York?

I'm also wondering if tuxedos are available on the QM2?

disembarkation is approx 8-9:00am say a noon flight or later. Yes they rent tuxs on board. but you could buy one for the rental fee. bon voyage

What time you schedule your flight depends on what airport and whether you're flying domestic or international. For example, now that the ship will dock in Brooklyn, if your flight is from Newark, you might want to leave more time than if it's from JFK, and recommended check in times are usually longer in advance for international than for domestic (you should check with the carrier to determine the timing).

  • 2 weeks later...

Before the move to Brooklyn, in NY port if you could pull your own luggage you get off first. This may still be done. Otherwise you leave according to deck with the lowest leaving last. Don't even think about a before noon flight. Our last time there, we were first off, waited ages for a taxi and fought massive traffic.

This week we had red priority tags and left with the Grille pax since we had an 11:40 flight out of LAX. And only 30 min to airport. No self-help here. But many we talked with wanted red priority tags and were refused.

Good luck! Great ship...

we always make a reservation for a limo or sedan in advance and call and confirm when passing under the verrazano and entering the nyc harbour and call once more when we disembark by the time we get our luggage the car is waiting to pull up and away we go!!
