Havensight to Emancipation Gardens, and time change?

We have a tour booked that meets at Emancipation Gardens. Do we need to take a taxi from Havensight, or is it possible to walk? Also, the tour starts at 11:00 a.m. AST time (not ship time or not Eastern time). Not sure how to figure the time out?

It depends when your trip is. Atlantic Standard is the same as Eastern Daylight (no daylight saving in the Caribbean), but in the winter, AST is one hour ahead of EST.

To your other question- Emancipation Garden is in town, about one mile from Havensight. Not a bad walk in normal times, but they just started a road widening project and it may be a mess for a while.

We will be there in a couple of weeks, so St. Thomas time is the same as our ship time, right?

USVI is currently on the same time as US Eastern time zone.

pixie: If you are on Eastern Daylight, yes, St Thomas is the same. ;)

And they have put in a temporary sidewalk on the other side of the street (away from the water), so you could walk, but it isn't the same water view. So far, they haven't torn up the regular walk, but who knows when it will happen...
