Cabin Number:367 - outside plus

Cruise Ship: Majesty

Date of Cruise:20/9 & 27/9 2016

Bed Formation: 2 singles plus 2 bunks

Bath/Shower?: Shower ( shower head had a funny angle to it )

Adjoining Cabin?: no

Balcony?: no

Comment on the Size of the Cabin: The biggest cabin we’ve ever had – between the two beds was two chest of drawers whereas most outside pluses had one and a half chests and ordinary outsides just one.

Comment on any Noise Issues: we only once felt any movement in the cabin and it was quiet from an engine point of view

Comment on Storage Space: Loads! There was three wardrobes, the usual vanity unit and another cupboard/surface housing the fridge and another cupboard.

Comment on the Bathroom: slightly larger than a standard outside

Any Other Comments?: Nerico kept it spotless and we’ve never enjoyed so many different towel animals. Two big windows. Make a note of the number if you want to prebook your cabin – also 373 and I think 377 (forgot the number) were as big as were the equivalent located cabin on the port side.

Would You Recommend this Cabin?: Oh yes! Best ever.

Comment on the Size of the Cabin: Spacious

Cabin Number: 3042 Deck 3

Cruise Ship: Marella Discovery 2

Date of Cruise: December 2017

Bed Formation: Double (2 singles together, not a true double bed)

Bath/Shower?: Shower

Adjoining Cabin?: No

Balcony?: No

Comment on the Size of the Cabin: Lots of space

Comment on any Noise Issues: No noise issues at all.

Comment on Storage Space: Very large double wardrobe - with dozens of hangers. 3 double sized drawers. 3 single drawers. 2 drawers in each bedside cabinet. Lots of cupboard space built around mirror/dressing table

Comment on the Bathroom: Larger than some. Strong shower. Good condition.

Any Other Comments?: 2 European, 2 american sockets. USB charging points built into bedside lights and also wall light in cabin. Cabin has 2 seat sofa. Large window - although this was rather dirty (outside).

Safe in cupboard - but you need to activate (and open/close) with a credit card - when actually you need to be putting credit cards IN the safe! - poor design.

Cabin Review

Cabin Number: 3024

Cruise Ship: Marella Discovery

Date of Cruise: 10/03/2018

Bed Formation: 2 x single into a double

Bath/Shower?: Shower

Adjoining Cabin?: no

Balcony?: no

Comment on the Size of the Cabin: reasonable size with room to walk around both sides of the bed.

Comment on any Noise Issues: can hear engines but quieter than the aid conditioning so not that noticeable, although the thrusters for coming alongside were a little noisier.

Main noise issue was from the furniture rubbing on the ceiling (solved with a piece of paper in between!).

You could hear the sunbeds being put out above on deck 4 but usually around 7am so not that early.

Comment on Storage Space: Bedroom: 3 large drawers 3 small ones, double wardrobe, two small vanity units on either side of the mirror plus a cupboard with the safe and 2 spare shelves). Under bed storage for 2 suitcases.

Bathroom: vanity cabinet 4 shelves, one small drawer one taller cupboard plus a shelf

Comment on the Bathroom: plenty of storage, large enough to move around in but quite a short washing line in the shower.

Any Other Comments?: It's a solo traveller (outside) cabin but plenty big enough for two, lovely picture window.

Would You Recommend this Cabin?: yes

Are there any reviews for

Marella Disovery 2’s Grand Suit and the impact of deck 9’s overhang upon the hopes of having a sunny balcony? Sorry, can’t find any information on this anywhere, and the TUI and Marella reps deny an overhang exists.

First timers here who were throughly excited before seeing the overhang’s shadow on the deck below on google images!

Cabin Number: 683 Deck 2

Cruise Ship: Marella Celebration

Date of Cruise: 7th December

Bed Formation: Double

Bath/Shower?: Shower only (curtain stuck to shower tiles quite well) ok for medium sized people

Adjoining Cabin?: no

Balcony?: no

Comment on the Size of the Cabin: adequate for a couple not claustrophobic.

Comment on any Noise Issues: Celebration generally has a throbbing vibration noise which you get used to. There was a rather noisy fog horn type noise at the start of the transatlantic part which we learnt was the stabilisers in action when we enquired at reception and a crew member came down (quite impressive service) provided with ear plugs but subsequently not needed. Issue not just us though. No noise from other cabins or function rooms purely from ship.

Comment on Storage Space: Loads, 2 wardrobes, 6 drawers, dressing table shallow wide drawer plus 2x2 bedside table drawers and plenty room under bed for all cases and hand luggage.

Comment on the Bathroom: good size with mirrored bathroom cabinet, soap dispenser and shower body wash. bath mat good size bath and hand towels.

Any Other Comments?: as deck 2 mid ships it was quite stable however we were slightly seasick day 1 a bit of a surprise as none on Dream but this time we were Med/Atlantic not just around Caribbean. Only 1 chair. Had a safe, hairdryer, kettle and a fridge compartment however not sure it worked. Tray of 'mini bar' items we didn't use.

Would You Recommend this Cabin?: one small port hole but enough and less sway than higher decks. Very handy for water dispenser and lifts (but not too close) and was on disembarkation level so very handy.
