After Tour Suggestions?

We are in Cuba from 8am until 6pm. We booked an Ultimate Highlights Of Havana, which will be done by 12:30pm. Are we allowed to wonder around on our own and if so, any suggestions about things we could/should do? Thanks!!

Thanks for the info. We are looking to do our ships excursion tour which is a walking tour. Might see what tours are available once we get off the ship. Been reading up on the port on Trip Advisor and here on CC. Seems there are many tour options available outside of the ship tours.
