No gaming while on casino offer

What would happen if a person was on a free/discounted cruise from the casino and didn't gamble? Would that person's offers never appear again regardless of play on another cruise? I'm going with my sister on her comped cruise in August and I also have another cruise comped in November. I don't really feel like playing heavy in August and may not feel like it in November. However, I'm certainly not retired from casino gaming, I've just got burnt out a bit and want to take it easy for a few months other than sports betting.

My assumption is that future comps/discounts would be significantly less, if anything at all. They are comping you for a cruise based on past gambling play. If you don't gamble on those 2 cruises, the next time you call for a comp, they will see that your play dropped...and your comps will as well. But it's not like someone is going to knock on your cabin door and say, "hey, the casino comped you this cruise...get your butt down to the casino and spend some money or we're going to add charges to your bill" lol.

Yeah I didn't figure they'd pester me, I just enjoy getting comps and didn't want them to end. I'm wondering whether I'll be fine just avoiding it in August then coming back guns blazing in November. I had a really bad experience in Vegas at the World Series of Poker that makes me want to get my table gaming in check. I've been a part-time sports better/handicapper for the past 10 years and have been a solid poker player as well. On July 5, I ran my 2K buyin up to 207K playing roulette and only cashed out for 10k so I've just been pretty sick about it since then and the thought of table games just makes me want to throw up. Hopefully I'm up big on football season by November and I'll be over the foolishness but I'm not sure.

That might actually work in your favor. Not sure what cruise line you're going on...but on NCL, definitely rack up more points playing slots than table games. Can sit at slots, get free drinks, and avoid the tables altogether. Playing for a few hours here and there should give you a solid amount of points to keep your comps in place. Atleast it shows "activity and play" during the cruise

Carnival for both booked cruises. I have an NCL offer from a land based casino that I may take if I can get the time off from work/remote schedule approved which shouldn't be a problem. Wish there was a dog friendly line, it was nice having my little guy in Vegas this summer. You can't even begin to imagine what a hit he was with the ladies on the strip ;).

I honestly can't handle slots, my parents and grandparents have lost a small fortune on them, I don't like to play stuff unless there is some way to get an advantage or close to even with comps. I would consider playing video poker on land but I've heard the paylines on the cruise ships are terrible. I haven't researched it for myself. I may just try to play dice or something. I know the odds suck but I heard on my last cruise that dice players are valued by cruise casinos.

There is a Difference between getting your Cruise comp voucher from a Land based casino,

and booking directly with the Ships Casino at Sea program, (or whatever yours is called)

From what I've gathered, what you play ON the ship from a Land based Comp offer?

Will NOT be affected if you short play (or No play) on the ship.

It depends on What you play on the LAND.

THAT is what it takes to get an NCL or Princess, or whatever Cruise voucher offer in the future.

Its like the Land based casinos, don't even Know you're ON a ship.

Those points Don't appear to crossover to the Land casino, so they don't care

if you're playing on the ship, or not.

However if you are booked thru the Ships Casino Program? And THATS How you booked your cruise?

Then it definately DOES matter, if you play or Don't play.

Your future Offers can definately be affected, if your play diminishes.

Send a screenshot of your certificate to URCOMPED and see what they offer. With our CET certificate they offered us a free sailing on MSC Divina, and ee are sailing soon. After 20 NCL comped cruises we are excited to try something new and different. They gave us an inside cabin, changed that to a OV gty, then to a large wellness balcony cabin. Only a $ 400 deposit that turns into OBC and is refundable at the end of the cruise. Even with having to pay for airfare to florida and hotel room, it is costing us much less than a NCL comped cruise. FREE = FREE. No administration fees, port charges, no taxes.

And it doesn't negate the original certificate. We were able to get a loyalty status match to their highest level and will receive all the perks associated with that too.

You doing better than I. I sent them a copy of Caesars/NCL voucher for outside cabin. It was still an open date. URComped emailed back "want copy of the cruise line casino offer".

Later had an email from UR for NCL cruise. NCL would give an outside cabin for NEW CAS player and 13K coin in.

Looks like a waste of time for us dealing with URcomped. But like in your case, you never know what they might have just come in to give out.

Now dealing with comps. Mostly if not entirely based on ADT (Theo), not points. VP, various slots, different table games has an expected long term take by the casino. Other words your expected loss from your daily play. Your actual loss could greater or even less. The magic computer though will say comp this amount.

VP will give points. Maybe even actual cash. It is hard to get ADT. I can play and bet $30-50 per hand in VP and the ADT will be shockingly low. I have verified this with ship's hosts and land based hosts.

NCL boss told me a few years ago that the cabin offers usually run ADT 400 for inside, 800 for outside, over 1,000 for balcony. Also they would like for you to play everyday in the casino. Back to that average, ADT.

Oh the same NCL CAS guy also said they mostly look at your last cruise for play. No more than last 3 cruises in total.

If you get a cabin based on historical play of $555 (made up number), and then you cruise and only spend $111 - they will then adjust their value for you. They will assume you are no longer a big gambler ($555) and drop the offers. They do not want to spend money on a cabin and not get the right money back from you.

I met a guy on a cruise who claimed he did that. He was mad that they wanted 5% at the cage and before it was always free

he said he never got an offer again from that cruise line or any other cruise line since
