Pitons, beach, and shopping?

We are interested in visiting a beautiful beach with the Pitons as a backdrop for a few hours. We just want to relax and enjoy the view. Not interested in snorkeling, but would like for the water to be calm. Then we would like to shop for a couple of hours. Any recommendations for the best use of our time while there for the first time? Thx in advance!

For a beach day pass away from the Cruise Herds, then consider The Coconut Beach Resort. The hotel can arrange transportation to suit your time frame requirements.

What sort of shopping do you ha e in mind? St Lucia is not a shopping destination like St Thomas or St Maarten, by any means.

One thing to keep in mind is sheer time it takes to travel around our beautiful island. While Soufriere and the Pitons are only about 12-14 miles south of the cruise port - it takes a solid 1.15-1.5 hours to get there one way due to the track the roads need to take. So, plan at least three hours round-trip foe travel time alone. Add in 3-4 hours at the beach and you've already used the vast majority of your day..

So, what shoppi g do you have in mind? If it's just trinkets and souvenirs the cruise port will have that when you return from the Pitons.

And while Coconut Bay is located on lovely beach - it's directly opposite the island from the Pitons, and on the Atlantic so often rough and unswimmable... Plus, Coconut Bay is an all-inclusive resort, so you'd need a day pass to enjoy their facilties. At 1.15 hours one way, again it's a long ways to go for what you say you're looking for, and it doesn't fit it anyways.

Please Provide a little more info so we can help out with ideas...
