Attention anyone with pull at NCL

Still unable to determine if the Star will be re-furbished in May 2018. She disappears from the schedule after her crossing the Atlantic on May 6th and does not appear again until a Barcelona sailing on May 24th. Hints that she will go into dry dock and hopefully emerge looking like the Dawn (no more horrid plush velveteen sofas) are flying around but this cannot be confirmed at all!!!

It would be so helpful if someone with influence at NCL could find out where she will be for those missing 3 weeks and what if anything will be happening to her.

Hopefully they are ripping out those useless slides and making more deck space.

just learned via Cruise Deck Plans that Star WILL be in Dry Dock from May 6th to May 23rd! Hooray!

Wow. She just did a major dry dock in 2015.

Great!! We will be on her in September from Venice.

I think given her age she must go into dry dock @ every 2.5 years.. if she had a major do over in 2015 they certainly missed a lot..her furnishings are horrid...not at all like the Dawn.

We are on that first sailing out of Barcelona on May 24. This will be our first ever NCL cruise so not sure what to expect or even hope for from this dry dock.

you could be in for some inconvenience..often on first sailing after dry dock they are still adding the final touches! Good luck!

As long as I have a bed to sleep in and a bar to belly up to, it'll all be ok.
