Harmony-Royal Family Balcony Suite

Recommended Posts

I am booked on the 3/31/18 sailing of the Harmony OTS in an owner's suite. I started in a balcony and then moved to a Grand Suite and currently in an Owner's Suite. There is only my wife, 16 year old son and me in the suite.

A Royal Family Balcony Suite just opened up for about $1,000 cheaper. Since we are past the final payment date, I assume that I can't change cabins and get the lower price. But should I consider changing suites?

The total size of the suites and balconies look similar although different layouts.

Thanks for your help. I have never sailed in a suite before hence the questions.

We love the Royal Family Suites. Your son would get his own room with a door for privacy plus an additional bathroom. I think the balconies are the same size as the Owner's suite or pretty close- we usually have 2 loungers and a dining table with chairs and plenty of extra room.

Call them the might let you change it for an onboard credit. But if you have already paid in full and they can’t give you any compensation keep it it’s a great room

So you are saying that I should switch to the Royal Family Suite even if I don't get any compensation for the price change?

I am awaiting a return call from my travel agent.

You will have PLENTY of space for 3 in an OS....unless you can get the RFS for the same price...I'd stay put! The perks are the same for ALL the suites, GS and above.

Same price for the RFS. Having our son in his own bedroom (looks like a closet!) is appealing.

I am switching suites. The same price for a RFS compared to an OS...can't complain at all. They won't refund me any of the difference since it is after final payment, but if I could normally get a RFS for the same price as an OS, I think I would jump at it, which I am. Our travel agent tried but no luck. RCCL hesitated to put only 3 people in an eight person suite but they allowed it.

So I need to forget about the fact that the lower price came up and be happy.
