inside cabins on discovery

We have not sailed on Discovery yet (roll on May 6th) but were on Discovery 2 twice in 2017 that has an identical layout. The first time (May 2017) we had cabin 2053 on deck 2 which was ideal for us - midships so the most stable part of the ship, close to lifts but with very few passing passengers, VERY quiet and more spacious than we have had on other ships. We wanted the same cabin in October but it was already booked so took the adjacent 2055 which was just as good. 2053 and 2055 are also just 2 berth cabins so you have no risk of being moved if a larger family want the space as you do in a 4 berth cabin (2 and 4 berth cabins are the same size).

We have already booked 2053 for May this year on Discovery.

Deck 2 is excellent - lifts come quickly and are generally empty when they arrive as other passengers have got out at higher decks and no noise as there are no bars or restaurants on the deck above. I can't speak for noise on deck 3 but we avoided it as it has the theatre, casino and a couple of bars immediately above (which all have late night entertainment); be careful to check the deck plan if you want a quiet cabin on there.

I was on Deck 3 (3020 outside) and friend had an inside. No noise from the deck above. Slept like a log.....
