Those familiar with Heathrow... Question on bathrooms

My dad is handicapped and requires assistance when going to the restroom. We are taking a nonstop flight from RDU (or intend to if we can get it on miles) and cannot find some information

1) Looks like American Airlines arrives in Terminal 3 around gate 30 each day. When looking at the Heathrow map, I do not see handicapped restrooms til you get downstairs. Is this correct? Do they truly have no handicapped restrooms in the gate area?

How far is it from the gates to the customs/immigration area where there are handicapped restrooms, and do you have to go through those before you can access them?

2) I cannot find out on the American site whether or not our flight has a handicapped accessible bathroom on it. My dad needs assistance from either my mother or myself when getting into the restroom and so it needs to be large enough for two people. Anyone know if AA transatlantic flights have HA bathrooms?

Appreciate the help, trying to be prepared for when my dad needs it.
