ok, we did it this week. So not worth it....

Murky water full of seaweed. The water wasn't blue at all.

Vendors were not too aggressive and mostly stayed to the far side of the beach.

We were supposed to have free wifi and even got the password on our arm bands, but my phone never got enough "juice" to connect to any internet.

Basically, if you've been to Red Stripe beach and liked it - it's going to be pretty similar.

There was music and a DJ with some line dancing and games for kids.

A lot of people enjoyed massages on the beach.

P.S. Forgot to say - the chaises were very old, rickety and dirty.

ETA: the taxi ride was less than 5 minutes but cost $20 pp roundtrip. That's A LOT and not worth it. We caught the taxi in port (I hear it's $10 pp roundtrip if you get a taxi outside the port), because my dad can't walk far. The positive moment was that the same driver was already waiting for us when we were ready to leave.

We paid $21 each way for a total of 5 people for a much longer taxi ride in Cozumel.

I appreciate the time you took to answer, thanks!

I'm sorry your experience was subpar.

We ended up staying aboard for the day.
