Will a tip be automatically added to the bar bill, or will we want to be tipping in cash?
This is my plan for my cruise in January:If you don't have the UBP and buy a drink, you will still be charged the 20%. And if you do have the UBP, You have already paid the 20%. The daily service charge/tips etc do not go to the bar staff they go to room stewards, dining service and behind the scenes. You are confusing 2 different things here.
- Go to guest services and ditch my service charge, saying I prefer to tip in cash.
- Carry a stack of onesies
- leave $1 or more in tips at My discretion to bartenders, tablemaids and room stewards as I deem necessary and if I can afford it.
Are you serious, they share my information with staff if I Remove my daily? That’s an invasion of privacy. Maybe I’ll wait until the last day to remove the charge then, to ensure they don’t see me “flagged” and do poor housekeeping in my room.
Wow. I am just stunned that they would even do such a thing
