Southampton Premier Inn locations?

We are staying one night in Southampton pre-cruise in a Premier Inn. Which is the best location/hotel?

Cumberland Place or City Centre? Will be doing a little exploring of the city on our arrival day and then will be going to the port the next day.

West Quay is right near the shopping centre & bus station if that is an option for you

I think west quay is also the closest to the cruise terminal as well.

West Quay is in the most central location and you sometimes have to search for it specifically as Premier Inn seems to want to market the new one in Cumberland Street and the City Centre one which we don't like

As other posts, West Quay is most convenient for trains, Nat Express buses, West Quay mall, old town, and cruise terminals.

"City Centre" in New Street is opposite side of city centre 10 min walk to city centre shops, Cumberland Place is at the northern end of city centre, also a 10 min walk. Both are decently located but West Quay is def the ideal location.

We used West Quay in June and it is very close to the piers. There are lots of cafes and restaurants near by as well as parking. The hotel was very busy and people who had not pre-booked breakfast were turned away from the restaurant.

so we have rebooked to west quay location...thanks everyone for your input:D:D:D:D:D
