Cruise Day in Curacao - Diving

Cruising in September this year and have a one day stop here. Interested in recommendations for a snorkeling beach that we can do on our own without an excursion or a shore dive location. Experienced snorkelers and divers. Strong swimmers.

Also need to know if we would be better to rent a car of just rely on taxis if we end up beach hopping??

Prefer a shore dive. Arriving in Willemstad, Curacao at 9AM and want to be back on boat by 6PM. Never been here but have shore dived in Bonaire and loved it, of course that was a weeks stay not a one day cruise stop.

Contact Mark Brown at TwinDivers. He will pick you up at the pier and will be less expensive than RCL. He is a great guy and will give you very personal service. Tell him Jim from Connecticut sent you.http://www.twin-divers.com/eng/

This a video of the dives I did with him in 2017:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLUPTIMNhDY

Many of the beaches have dive shops right at the beach.  Almost 100% of the diving in Curacao is shore diving and thus why you find dive shops located directly at the small beaches.  Easily could rent a car and visit one of the many beaches on your own.  The question is just which beaches have dive shops and which do not.  Try this link:

Just back from a cruise with a stop in Curacao and we dove with The Dive Bus.  Can't say enough good things about them.  Excellent healthy reefs, tons of fish and lots of critters including octopus, squid, and a seahorse.  We did guided dives on their house reef.  We had really long bottom times; both dives were well over an hour long.  This was my second or third time with them and have loved every dive with them.  Can't go wrong with the Dive Bus.

It looked like you were looking for a snorkeling beach, not diving.  If so, check out my review in this thread.  We rented a car and did it on our own.  This enabled up to get up to the turtles before the crowds got there.  Just awesome.  We then just drove down the shore and stopped at a few beaches to snorkel.  Just like an aquarium!.

Car rental is easy and driving is simple.
