Not sure this is considered Carabbean. Does anyone have any insight on doing excursions on your own or any good tour guides? If I am in wrong place for this post, please let me know where I should be. thanks

If you have never been to visit the Mayan ruins, it is worth it, but it is quite a long bus rider from the ship, so keep that in mind, especially depending on whether you are traveling with young children or people with mobility issues.
