First (and probably last) suite cruise

We are in d737 on the Caribbean Princess. My petit friends will take the sofa. Mom and sister in the twin beds. I will take the upper. The aft balcony will be our living room.

My mom (and dad who has since passed) took me on my first cruise in 2005. On the Caribbean Princess. I have been hooked ever since. And although the Regal is my favorite ship the CB was my first so it's special. Although I hope and pray it's not my last cruise with my mom, it very well could be.

You had me at Aft balcony! :hearteyes:We did not have a suite, but we had a corner aft and will never go back, unless it just did not work out for whatever reason! Loved the aft and could have spent all day back there. Breakfast on our balcony every morning was amazing! Enjoy!

I have seen the prices vary quite a bit for 3rd and 4th in a full suite but never for $1. We got bit by the suite bug and have sailed 4 in a grand class Vista a number of times. The toilet is separate from the shower so getting 4 through the bathroom was no big deal for us.

Was the $1 a general website promo available to anybody or was it Email or something else that was being offered specifically to you?

I think the 3rd and 4th person for $1 was the Summer on Sale promo. We are doing a B2B in August, first in a Window and then a Vista. DS10 is sailing for $1 on one leg and $20 the other. It was a significant savings from our booked Alaska itinerary, so we changed (doing Alaska with family in 2019 already, so easy to skip it this year)

Our favorite ship is the CB and we prefer the aft suites. I always pick d737 if it is available. We could stay out on the balcony all day and order room service for all lunches and many dinners. Order afternoon tea and enjoy it on the balcony.

Have a great time.

Thank you. I think we will spend a lot of time on that balcony.

Congrats. You'll love it. We had our first suite in December on the Royal thanks to an upsell and easily went back to just a balcony cabin on the Regal last month. The things we missed the most were breakfast at Sabatini's and the roomy shower. A lot of the other suite amenities are nice, but we did not miss them as much. Being Elite helped since some of the suite benefits are things we already get, such as free laundry and mini bar setup.

Currently, booking a suite for a similar itinerary to what we took would be more than $4,000 more than a balcony cabin. (Thanks to the upsell and casino rate, we paid less than an ocean view cabin would cost this year.) We'd rather go more often than go in style.

I couldn't have done it without the casino discount and 3rd and 4th passengers for a dollar. Mom is elite so I have been enjoying those benefits.

Question does everyone in the cabin get 2 cruise credits? I think that would be 14 and 15 for me!!!
