Thermal Suite & Thalassotherapy Pool: Currently the 7 day pass to book, pre-cruise is $139. Should I book this now or are there discounts if you purchase this onboard? I really enjoyed this last time I sailed when I was booked in a Spa cabin. This time I was not able to book a Spa cabin since I am sailing as a single and it was much cheaper to book a regular cabin and just add the 7 day pass. Do these general sellout?

I have never been on the Breeze. Sailed many times on the Freedom, Victory, Splendor, Valor, Liberty. How does this ship differ from the ones I have sailed on? it was a last minute purchase (sailing in 31 days) so I booked an inside cabin in the AFT of the ship on Deck 9. I normally book a balcony but I basically need some good relaxation time and of course my sister and her family is sailing on this cruise so there will be TONS of laughs. Laughs, relaxation and great food is the purpose for my booking this cruise.

I am sailing February 12th out of Galveston and doing the (Belize, Cozumel & Honduras). Any idea what the weather might be like during this sailing?

Does this ship have a covered or enclosed pool area if it is cool outside?

What is everyone's favorite Carnival food dish now? I notice that the menus have changed. I am beyond sad that they are no longer offering Bitter & Blanc. Honestly, this desert if my all time favorite. If we request if a couple of nights will they make it, or is it completely gone forever?

On-Board Entertainment - Shows, Comedy, what else is really fun and good? What are some MUST DO's while I am onboard.

Secret tips. Come on everyone, I have learned that these boards are the absolute BEST place to get secret tips of things that you can do, order, go, etc..... Pretty please share with me some amazing tips.

We've been on the Breeze, and had an enjoyable cruise. The weather in the Western Caribbean in February is usually very pleasant. However, you can always go on Google and check the forecast a few days before packing to see if you might need something specific, such as a light jacket for a cool evening, or a rain poncho in case there's rain in the forecast for one of your ports. We're not foodies, so I have no major complaints about the food. For lunch, or a midday snack, the Deli is worth a stop. My favorite from there is the turkey wrap. As for the MDR, I always try to get seafood if it's offered. However, steer clear of the calamari. It's kind of chewy. I don't think calamari is supposed to taste like cooked rubber bands. As for entertainment, if the band Deja Vu is still performing there, make sure you go see them. They're one of the best "house" bands we've seen on Carnival. I'm not a big fan of the production shows in the main theater, and tend to avoid them. The comedy club is very popular. If you're planning to go, you'll need to get in line at least 45 minutes to an hour ahead if you're hoping to get a seat. Let the "kid" in you come out and spend some time at the Waterworks. It's a lot of fun. If you don't have to absolutely be poolside, you'll find plenty of available lounge chairs along both sides of the ship on Deck 11 above the Lido area.

Bring a light jacket for the movies under the stars. They also loan nice fleece blankets and serve free popcorn!

Best seats: middle level on the sides, nice cushy seats, with a table and ottoman (I think). Much better than those pool chairs, but you've gotta claim one early!

Have fun! Breeze is our favorite ship! Magic coming up next month, can't wait!

Secret tips. Come on everyone, I have learned that these boards are the absolute BEST place to get secret tips of things that you can do, order, go, etc..... Pretty please share with me some amazing tips.

1. I recommend purchasing the pass before the cruise; while I have never NOT been able to get it I wouldn't want to take the chance. There is no savings by waiting until you board (unlike spa treatment specials during the cruise).

2. Of the ships you named I've only been on the Victory and Liberty. I would say they are similar in that you can't go all the way through the ship on decks 3 & 4, and most of the layout is the same, Lido on 9 or 10, 24-hour pizza aft on the Lido, most of the entertainment is on deck 5, etc.

3. I haven't sailed via Galveston in February so I don't know what it's like that time of year. If you don't already have it, you can add a weather app to your phone and add just about any destination you want to see real-time weather info.

4. I'm pretty sure the pools are not covered, but I visit the Thalassotherapy pool instead of the regular pools anyways :D

5. I miss Bitter & Blanc too :( I don't know if they will make it for you but it doesn't hurt to ask! This ship has a Red Frog Pub with bar food for a nominal fee ($3.33 last time I checked but it may have gone up since then) and the pulled pork sliders are awesome! The Cucina del Capitano is $15 for dinner but there's a free pasta bar at lunch time, I usually go there on embarkation day. I love the passion fruit flan and popcorn flan and chocolate panacotta (sensing a theme here? lol), and the new flatbread appetizers are good too. The steakhouse surf & turf is one of my faves and you can now order a steakhouse entrée for $20 in the MDR. If you checkout Zydecocruiser's website, he has posted samples of the American Table/Feast menus and has lots of food porn!

6. I am a piano bar aficionado so I can't answer to other entertainment options on the ship, but the comedy club seems very popular and many enjoy the movies on the Lido.

7. I don't know of any super secret Breeze tips, just enjoy yourselves and don't try to do everything or you will need another vacation when you get home :D

We had the good fortune to have the Bitter & Blanc on the Breeze 3 weeks ago but that's because we did an 8-day cruise and they still serve it on those, but not the 7-days. It doesn't hurt to at least ask and see what they can do, but they may say no.

If you like the production shows and only see one, choose Flick. It was the best Carnival production show I've ever seen and we try to see them all on every ship - for me that means probably about 25 shows - I definitely rank it at #1.

If the Polaris string trio is still on board playing in the atrium, they are amazing. They play string versions of modern day songs from the 70s to now.

Neither of the main pools on the Lido Deck are covered - we felt every bit of the 30 degree wind chill as we were setting sail a few weeks ago! If it's too chilly, they move any scheduled deck parties inside.

This was my first time cruising with the American Table menu and I did find the food quality to be lesser than all of my previous cruises. It was still perfectly adequate, but it didn't blow me away like it has in the past. I mostly noticed the dessert selection was lacking. I am a 2-dessert kind of girl - I always get the melting cake plus something else to try - and many nights, I just stuck with melting cake as I didn't care for the other selections.

Have a wonderful time!

As a 1st time cruiser I can't offer much advice...yet. ;)

Give me a couple weeks and I'll let you know what the weather is like as the forecast calls for rain on two of our stops. :(

I booked the Spa Suite room as it was only $150.00 more per person than the balcony rooms were but you are going solo so you know that already. :)

The forecast for Galveston Sunday is a high of 70, winds at 20+ out of the North, and 40% chance of thunderstorms!

Actually, you can go all the way through the ship on Deck 4 from the Aft restaurant all the way to the theater by passing through the Mezzanine and the Gallery on the Way. The passageway is on the Starboard side. You can watch the people eating in the mid ship dining room along the way!

We sailed on the Freedom in Feb back in 2015. Galveston was cloudy and rainy. That lasted until we were at sea. Not sure what your weather will be but we had beautiful weather, not too hot but sunny. Take a light jacket for walking out on the decks, especially at night.

We had a little rocky return to Galveston the last sea day, with a cross wind that made the ship sway a bit. Some people got seasick (not us). It is just a risk crossing that huge Gulf of Mexico. It only lasted half the day that last sea day. It can happen any time of year though, so don't think you need to worry specifically about Feb.

The Breeze is my absolute favorite ship. Weather sailing out of Galveston can be a little cool on the way out and on the last sea day back in. Bring a light jacket. Also, fog can be an issue this time of year out of Galveston. I want to say the Dec. 26th sailing just sat in Galveston for a day or 2 because they couldn't leave due to the fog. Hopefully, you'll have no issues. The 4-5 times I've sailed out of Galveston have been Nov and early Dec and we've had no issues. Have a great cruise!

We loved the Breeze so much that we're sailing her again this summer. We couldn't get the spa cabin on our last cruise either. We decided to just purchase spa passes for the sea days because the days in port you're really too busy for it. But they were pretty full and were only selling full week passes at the time. So we ended paying the full weeks price even though it was the second day of the cruise. :( But they gave us a discount since there were four of us wanting the weeks pass. It was some sort of family deal where the 3rd and 4th ones get a much cheaper price. :) So I would say go ahead and get your spa pass now. Unless you have family that wants to sign up with you for the discount.

We loved the thrill theater with the moving seats, water misters and 3-D special effects. It felt like a Disney ride. Definitely worth the weeks pass for around $14.99 (Cant remember the exact price but this is close.)

Skip the huge breakfast lines and go to the Mexican place for a breakfast burrito. This place is virtually empty at breakfast time because no one thinks to go there for breakfast so there's no line. And you can load the burritos up with all your breakfast favorites and take them with you anywhere. Don't forget all the yummy sauces, they're addictive. :D We loved hitting this place on our way out to do an excursion while in port. We were always running late.

And definitely try the Italian place. It's free for lunch but costs $$$ for dinner. Great lasagna, breads, salads, or pick and choose your own pasta and sauce. It's in the Lido buffet area towards the back. You'll see a set of stairs. Just head upstairs and this great little quaint Italian restaurant pops up. We saw our waiter from the MDR there serving people several times. Excellent service and food.

We were on the Breeze last year and she has been my favorite ship so far! To answer your specific questions:

Spa Pass - I've never done the spa pass nor stayed in a Spa cabin, so can't help here!

I found the layout of the Breeze to be very similar to the Freedom class ships (including Victory/Triumph etc.). One main difference is the wrap-around lanai around deck 5 (Promenade). I thought this was a great addition. We'd stroll around the lanai a couple times a day enjoying the views! It was also a great spot to stroll around with our 14 month in her stroller. Not crowded at all! Also there are some great seating areas to enjoy a beverage (outside of the Red Frog and Ocean Plaza). You'll also find the Sea Day BBQ joint here...get in line early! It's popular! On one of the lower decks (Deck 2 maybe??), you'll find the Thrill Theater, Library Bar and a couple other places. They are tucked away and you could miss them if you don't know to look for them.

Weather in Feb - I've cruised a couple times in Feb. Once to Key West/Cozumel and the weather was cooler than any other cruise I've been on. Still MUCH better than Feb. Ohio Weather! The other Feb. cruise the weather was absolutely ideal!

Covered pool - not that I recall.

Fave Foods - Escargot, Warm Pumpkin Soup, Sushi (try Bonsai Sushi for sure!), pastas! I tend to really love the appetizers! Not a huge desert person.

On-Board Entertainment - As others have mentioned, the comedy shows are usually a good time (but they do fill up fast - get there early if you want a good seat). If you're not easily offended and enjoy participation games, check out Quest. It's an adult scavenger hunt. TIP: bring a few random things with you from your cabin! :) Red Frog was a great hang out location - usually some live music, plus games. Our group hung out in the Library Bar one evening playing games (we brought Cards Against Humanity with us).

Overall, we had a great time on the Breeze! ENJOY!

We will be heading out on the breeze in a week with our 15 month old and meeting up with our friends that have a 13 month old. Any tips that you can think of? We have cruised many times before but that was before having our son! I'm really excited but in many ways feels like our first time again lol.

This was our first cruise with a little one in tow as well! It was definitely a different experience! The two biggest things for us were having a durable umbrella stroller and try to keep to your normal routine as much as possible.

We bought a Summer 3D Lite Umbrella Stroller and it was great! Easy through airports and on the ship. It folds with one hand and comes with a shoulder strap for easy carrying. We would fold it up and put it in the corner next to the vanity area. It was never in the way in our cabin. No way could we have done it with a larger stroller. We used this to take her pretty much everywhere! This one also has a decent canopy and a basket underneath for storage.

Also, be flexible but try to stick with your kiddos normal routine. Before we went, we started stretching her sleep schedule a bit to get her used to going to be a bit later. We had late dinner and she did fine staying up to 10:00 most nights. But we kept with her afternoon naps as much as possible. Luckily, she was pretty go with the flow!

Other items -

We brought an inflatable tub, but never used it. We were going to use it as a bathtub, but it wasn't worth the hassle. I just took her in the shower with me and when I was done with her handed her out to the hubby.

We also only packed a day's worth of diapers. Then I purchased diapers at a drug store in Miami. I taped the diaper packages together and put a ship luggage tag on them and just left them at the port with the rest of our bags. Really helped with luggage space!

Kiddos aren't allowed in the pool or splash park in swim diapers. This really lessens what you can do with them during a sea day. Hence, why we visited the lanai wrap-around deck for walks pretty often! lol

Grab some easy grab-n-go foods from the buffet in the morning to keep in your bag when you're off the ship. We'd grab a couple extra Cheerios boxes or bananas just in case the little one got hungry or fussy while we were out and about. She also really liked those little pouches of toddler food at the time. So we packed a dozen or so of those.

Those are the high-points for us! We still loved cruising even with how different it was with a toddler. We're doing it again this Nov. when the little one will be just over three! Goal for the next cruise is to get this kid potty trained so we can use the pools!

Have a great time!

Have a great time!

Thank you! For the most part what you did sounds like our game plan, but we will have another group with us that are complete newbies with their 13 month old girl, I haven't seen them since my baby shower! We decided to bring diapers from home for both kids since we fly south west and don't have to pay to check bags, enough for 2 kids takes up so much space! Lol

Glad to hear you are planning to do it again! Enjoy!

The show "Flick" in the main theater is really good and one not to miss.

Keep in mind in most ports you are not ALLOWED to take food off the ship, especially fruit like bananas. In Cozumel, Mexican authorities are sometimes checking bags for such items on the dock and you can be fined for having them. The boxed cheerios etc probably would be fine.

Sea day brunch is excellent, with a great steak and eggs option for a heary breakfast, plus great options for kids.

I would definitely buy the Spa Pass. I'd buy it before, even though it may not sell out, there is always that chance. The spa is heavenly, and you don't want to miss it!

If you drink, order a "BBC". Once I discovered this drink on the Breeze, I loved it. Not the same on land or on other cruise lines. It is a frozen drink, and the BBC stand for Banana Bailey's Coloda. I know it may not sound delightful, oh but it is!!

We haven't sailed her in awhile, but when we did, the band in Ocean Plaza was always good - they were called "Run for Cover", their lead singer was named Sarah, and we opted to stay and listen to them most nights as opposed to going to the shows!

Also, the coffee bar there on Deck 5 makes a great latte-worth the upcharge if you ask me!!

Enjoy!!
