Just got a text and two phone calls telling us that check in will not start until 12PM. The ship was supposed to be arriving empty so why would they delay check in until 12PM? I thought we would be getting on early!

They have been going full speed. My guess is currents are delaying just a bit. Don’t worry!

Running into a weather front, it seemed ... off the eastern shore of MD, near Ocean City, with head wind now, doing about 20 knots. It doesn't look like they will get into NYC till 10 am or latet.

Wind will shift as they cross into NJ and catch a tailwind from the stern / AFT instead - could be helpful with a little speed ... from rough calculations, the Escape won't arrive any earlier than 9 or 10 AM in the morning, from the AIS tracking data given.

Probably going through a security clearance of some kind or inspections. This is likely to happen from time to time, especially considering they are just arriving in NYC>

The good news is the ship is dead heading (no passengers). Therefore, embarkation can start shortly after the ship docks. Welcome to New York Escape. Currently just east of Sandy Hook. Will approach Ambrose tower shortly.

shof515...Thank you for posting the pictures.

The Escape is just coming into view on the Port New York webcam and this cam will show the docking at the PST. Should be tying up about 11:45-12:00.
